National Speakers Association Certifies
26 New Speaking Professionals

(TEMPE, Ariz. -- July 30, 2001) The National Speakers Association (NSA), the leading organization for experts who speak professionally, conferred its Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) designation on 26 speaking experts at its 2001 Convention,
July 7-10, in Dallas, Texas.

Established in 1980, the CSP designation serves as an international measure of
professional platform skill and proven speaking experience.  To qualify, candidates must
meet a combination of educational, professional and performance standards.  Currently,
less than eight percent of all worldwide members have earned this prestigious designation.

"The CSP is the highest earned designation in the speaking profession," says 2000-01
NSA President Chris Clarke-Epstein, CSP.  "It recognizes a commitment to proven experience, ongoing education and ethical behavior."

NSA requires that CSP candidates serve at least 100 different clients, give a minimum
of 250 presentations and earn at least $250,000 in speaking fees, all within a five-year
period.  In addition, they must also earn at least 32 educational credits.

"Earning your CSP takes a tremendous amount of commitment.  To be part of such an exclusive list of speakers who have earned this designation demonstrates to a meeting planner that the speaker has withstood the test of time and competency," says Epstein.

For more information on the CSP designation, please call NSA headquarters at (480) 968-2552, or visit our Web site at www.nsaspeaker.org.

Alan J. Parisse, CSP, CPAE, of Boulder, Colorado, was named "One of the Top 21
